The year was 2009. Sub Focus had just dropped his first Essential Mix, and it completely blew our minds. It was the early days of falling in love with drum and bass, and that mix was a huge part of the journey. Now, all these years later, we have our own Essential Mix and honestly, hearing Pete Tong introduce it was an emotional moment.
