Russia has deployed about 170,000 troops in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region, pushing toward the strategic stronghold city of Pokrovsk. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the massive Russian buildup, saying the situation in Pokrovsk remains extremely difficult and intense.
