सेवानिवृत्त जज दीनानाथ अपनी पत्नी और दो बेटों, वकील रवि और इंस्पेक्टर सुनील के साथ एक खुशहाल जीवन जीते हैं। एक दिन रवि एक गरीब लड़की शारदा को घर लाता है, जो अपने पिता के निधन के बाद बेघर हो गई थी। परिवार को शारदा पसंद आती है और बाद में वह रवि के साथ उसकी शादी तय कर देता है। लेकिन जानकीदास नाम का एक कैदी उनकी शादी के दिन शारदा का पति होने का दावा करते हुए आता है। कथानक तब और गहरा हो जाता है जब एक संघर्ष में, रवि अपने गुर्गे की मौत के लिए फंस जाता है और उसका भाई सुनील उसे गिरफ्तार कर लेता है। उनकी समस्याएं कैसे सुलझती हैं, यह जानने के लिए फिल्म देखें।

Retired judge Deenanath lives a happy life with his wife and two sons, lawyer Ravi and inspector Sunil. One day Ravi brings home a poor girl Sharda, rendered homeless after her father's demise. The family likes Sharda and subsequently arranges her marriage with Ravi. But a prisoner named Jankidas arrives on their wedding day claiming to be Sharda's husband.
